Not only did guests need to be ferried to the island; so did the decor, furniture, kitchen equipment, food, and even generators because there’s no running water on Alcatraz.
We had only a limited setup window at the venue before the event, as Alcatraz is a busy state park and attraction that runs regular tours.
We funded repairs to Alcatraz’s Industries Building so it could be opened as a rentable dinner venue for the first time – a necessity because this group was too large for the other buildings.
